DeogarhThis small traditional village lies around 80 miles Northeast of Udaipur, in rural Rajasthan. The village is typically Rajasthani and is dominated by the beautiful Deogarh Mahal Palace. The Palace itself dates back to the 17th century and was built by a family of nobles, who held the title “Rawat” and were privileged to form part of the court of the Maharana of Udaipur. The Palace is an exotic blend of elegant architecture, domes, cupolas and archways. Rooms are elegantly furnished and the style is inimitably Indian. Facilities on offer include a swimming pool and the hotel can also organise jeep or train safaris, horse riding or trekking. |
